Cinema has always been one of my greatest passions. Ever since I was little, I’ve found comfort in my go-to films during life’s most challenging moments. I sought solace in the arms of characters who, for years, felt like my best friends. I built a world entirely my own, shared only with my favorite characters in my favorite fictional universes. Watching movies made me feel like a completely different person—carefree, detached from the reality I was living in at the time, even if just for a little while.

As I grew older, I learned to separate the characters I loved from the actors who brought them to life. (Although, I’ll admit, I’ve had my phases—yes, phases plural—where I became utterly obsessed with certain actors. We’ve all been there, right? No judgment!) For months at a time, I’d dive deep into their careers, learn everything about their lives, watch every single movie they’d been in, and devour every fun fact about them I could find. Cinema is such a magical art form, but let’s be honest—it wouldn’t be the same without the incredibly talented actors who make it all possible. The ones we know and love, and the ones we’ve yet to discover.

That’s exactly what inspired this fresh, new series I’m launching today. In Actor Spotlight, we’ll shine a light on one actor at a time—whether they’re household names, current icons, or under-the-radar talents you need to know about.
